"So you just leave the house without telling me?" Ryan confronted me as I entered the house.

"Uh, you might want to adjust your tone if you're speaking to me." I kicked my shoes off and headed up the stairs.

"With all that's going on should you really be going to work." He struggled to follow me up the stairs with him still be injured in all.

I stopped walking and turned to him when we got into the hallway, "I already miss more than enough time what did you expect?" I rolled my eyes.

"My father just died along with dozens of other wolves. The pack is grieving and we need our Luna at our side."

"I've been at your side this whole time. Checking on the pack, making sure you're still alive. Doing things that I never knew I would have to do and what do I get? You yelling at me for no goddamn reason when all I was trying to do was help and make everything peaceful around here."

Guilt momentarily flashed in his eyes before a look of anger took over, "Well try harder."

I gasped not believing at how brutal he was being, I understood that he was going through a lot right now but taking things out on me was not going to make it better. "Go to hell, Ryan!" I said before slamming our bedroom door in his face.

ALPHA RYAN

Hearing her say those words with that much anger hurt me, even though I knew I deserved it after been a dick to her. I couldn't help it; I was pissed but not at her. At myself for not being able to protect my pack. At my father for not keeping it in his pants, lying to us this whole time, and not being able to live so that I could take my anger out on him.

"Everything okay?" Lily walked out of her room with her face stained with tears.

I sighed in defeat, "Yeah, everything is just peachy." I ran my hands through my already messy hair.

"Well if you stop being such a tool, things would be better."

"I know." I acknowledged but at the moment wasn't willing to do anything about it. "I'll apologize when she cools down."

She nodded and averted her eyes towards the ground. "The funeral is tomorrow, mom already arranged everything."

"How's she doing?" Since I had arrived home she had locked herself in her room and wouldn't come out or allow me to come in, to check on her.

"I want to have a baby," I told Alex a little while later as we laid in our bed in the dark dressed in only our undergarments. When we got back home we quickly undressed climb in bed and laid down in a comfortable silence until I decided to bring up a conversation that's been heavily on my mind for months now.

"Um," She said clearly taken back. "That was random of you."

"I've been thinking about it for a while." When I say a while I mean since the day that I first laid eyes on her. "With my father dying it showed me that life is too short to not be living."

"Ryan," I faced her already feeling her nervousness rolling off of her. "There's something I need to tell you."

I looked back up at the ceiling already knowing where this was going, "I already know. You're on birth control."

"How do you know?" She gasped.

I scrunched up my nose, "I can smell it on you."
