He watched his love give and receive the respect of a Luna before his very eyes. His heart swelled up with pride as she talked to the women as if they have been life long friends. Since arriving at his home, she had grown so much. Much more than he had, but he wanted to believe he was still a work in progress and that took getting her trust back and forgiving him.

"There is one other point of discussion we need to cover while we're all here." He announced, his voice silencing the group. Lily looked at him confused, her green eyes sparkling up at him.

"Is it about Lukas?" Luna Selene asked him, the sadness evident in her eyes. He knew that the Luna cared for her Alpha, but perhaps not as such the way love was for the rest of them. He leaned against his desk, his arms folded over his chest. He wanted to sleep. Fighting off Lukas, dealing with the uncanny body eruption and still settling in the idea that he was going to be a father really drained him.

A father.

"The Caribbean pack is left without an Alpha. Does Beta Felix intend to take the lead?" He asked Selene. She looked away for a moment, a look of uncertainty crossing her face.

"He isn't very sure he wants to lead. He enjoys being the Beta, but he doesn't believe in himself that he can run such a large pack." She informed him. He couldn't necessarily blame the man. Being an Alpha is stressful work, and leading the largest pack is already tedious as it is, and that was coming from the King himself.

"I suppose we could hunt for the next candidate to take his place." He stroked his chin as a very thin beard started to take shape. Damn, he needed to shave and shower.

"Are there any issues in the Caribbean we need to be concerned with?" Lily suddenly asked. Selene tapped her cheek thoughtfully as she pursed her lips.

"As for now, no. Thank God Hurricane season is over with. We managed to get things rebuilt before the New Year. Oh, I also went ahead and tied up a trading agreement with Brazil. That was almost a loss cause, but I managed to get it reeled in before the deadline." Selene went on, being thorough with the work she managed to accomplish in such a short time frame.

"We don't need to look for an Alpha." Lily said as she stepped up beside Selene, "We have one right here." She gestured to Selene. Selene's face turned the deepest shade of red he's ever seen on a person.

"Me? No, we can't do that." She immediately protested.

"Why the Hell not?" Lily asked.

"It's always been tradition that a male takes the lead as Alpha." She explained to her. Lily only shrugged though.

"So? You literally just did everything your Alpha would have done." Lily looked up at him, "She's perfect for the job." Jayce eyed Selene, her eyes downcast. Lily was right, but they also had traditions to abide by. He looked back at Lily who already placed her foot firmly down on this decision. She's a pure human getting married to the Werewolf King. Obviously fate didn't care for traditions like they did. So why should they?

"Are you up for it?" He asked her. Selene's eyes widened, staring up at him. She stammered for a moment, unsure on how to reply, but then she straightened her back and gave the firmest nod he's ever been given.

"It will be an honor, sir. Uh, King. Alpha!" She blushed as she fumbled to address him. Lily let out a scream and hugged Selene. The Luna, soon to be Alpha, appeared slightly shaken, but she was smiling through it.

"I guess we're making changes this year." Jackson chipped in, but he didn't look upset about Jayce's decision.

"Who knows, maybe it was fates way of saying us old men need to move forward with the times." Javon responded, giving an approving nod.

"Who cares? It just gives me an excuse to throw another party." He said happily. The old fool. Luna Isis and Luna Ella looked a little off though.

"Is there an issue?" He asked aloud, taking the women by surprise.

"Well, my King," Luna Ella began, but she wasn't feeling ready to continue.

"What does that mean for us?" Luna Isis asked him. He wasn't sure what she meant though.

"Oh, I see." Lily said as she separated from Selene, "You want equal power." She said. The ladies looked at each other before nodding. Jayce let out a huff, rubbing the bridge of his nose as a headache settled in.

"Well," Lily started, stepping up beside Jayce, "What if you two are my advisors?" She asked the Lunas. The women looked at one another wondering where Lily was going with this. In fact, they all were. "Look, it's not rocket science to say that equality amongst the sexes isn't still rocky even after all the changes that have been made." Lily took the floor as she addressed the group. He watched her, admired her as she spoke. She didn't know it yet, but he did. She had power to sway his people.

"Men have always ruled with an iron fist for years. Not saying you guys are doing a bad job at it, but the women can be just as powerful and strong and righteous as any man that ever lived. Queen Elizabeth I, Catherine the Great, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks, Malala Yousafzai... Past, present and future. Women have changed the course of history more times than anyone can count, and for the better." Lily let out a breath, "A man is considered strong with a capable woman at his side, but a woman is strong regardless of having a man." Lily looked at the women as the room fell quiet around them.

"I don't know what all to expect of my role as Luna. In fact, I'm kinda scared." She let out a breath, "But with you two as my guidance, I hoped to be the Luna you all need me to be." She looked to the Lunas. Luna Ella ran a hand over her hair.

"Wow, if you put it like that." Luna Ella said with a smile.

"It's a little hard to reject such an offer." Luna Isis followed after, also smiling.

"So?" Lily looked between them. They shared a look before nodding. Lily covered her mouth as she let out another squeal. He hasn't seen her this excited in sometime. It was refreshing.

"Now then, should we go over the wedding details now that we're all here?" Luna Isis addressed them as she took a seat beside Javon.

"Actually, would it be alright if we reconvene this evening?" Lily asked them, "Jayce hasn't slept yet after everything that has happened." She reached over and grabbed his hand.

"Absolutely, we can make dinner plans." Jackson said as he got up from the couch, taking out something from his pocket and handed it to Lily. It appeared to be a business card, "Contact us when you're ready to meet up. Get some rest, my King." He inclined his neck before seeing himself and Luna Ella out. Alpha Javon stepped up next, also giving Lily a business card and leaving with Luna Isis.

"Luna Lily." Luna Selene addressed her.

"Please, just Lily." Lily corrected her. Selene nodded.

"Lily, thank you." She said to her, handing her a business card and left. Archibald yawned and stretched as he stepped up to them.

"We'll discuss music at dinner." He said, handing over one last card before finally leaving them be. Jayce let out a heavy and exhausted sigh as he slouched against his desk. Any kind of proper demeanor was out the door with them. He wanted to curl up right there and let sleep take him.

"Come here." Lily spoke to him softly, taking his hand and led him over to the couch.

"I want to go to bed, Lily." He complained as she sat down, tugging him down with her.

"You are. Here." She patted her lap. He eyed her with suspicion, but she only looked back at him with an innocent expression. He caved and laid down, his head resting on her lap. She took her fingers and combed them through his hair slowly. His body relaxed instantly and his eyes fell shut.

"Sweet dreams." She whispered to him as sleep consumed him at last.

His eyes opened to see Nox laying down in his dark domain, the soft green glow snug against his side. The Wolf peered over at him with one open eye before shutting it.

You don't normally come here on your own.

Jayce walked over to the Wolf and sat down with the green orb. It pulsed softly with life. Life that he and Lily had given it. He reached out to it, feeling the Wolf within it stir in response.
