Skylar arrived outside Charles' house with Cinque and Lionel. For someone who often slept around with women, he was staying in a rather run-down apartment. The surroundings looked incredibly filthy, and the neighborhood was dark due to the lack of street lamps.

Charles could soon be seen returning home completely drunk. He hadn't even made it to the door when he was grabbed and dragged into the MPV.

“Delivering yourself to me this late at night? My boys aren't around, but I see you've brought two with you, eh? Quite the naughty one, aren't you?” Charles asked in his drunken stupor when he saw Skylar in the car.

As she didn't get a chance to meet him in person at the police station, Skylar had no choice but to save her questions for another time.

Her previous interrogation attempt didn't yield any results, so the mere sight of his face disgusted her to the core.

“Tell me, who instructed you to do this to me? If there's one thing I hate most, it's wasting my time beating around the bush. If you miss this opportunity to tell me the truth, you will never get to see me again. So, how about you come clean, and I'll pay you a hundred thousand for it?” Skylar said.

She was actually going to betray Charles by filing another lawsuit against him if he accepted the money, so getting any information out of him in the process would simply be an added bonus.

Skylar found out that Charles had been blacklisted when she investigated his bank credit, so there was no way for him to get any loans. Seeing as he only had a few hundred in his bank account, he couldn't possibly afford the expenses of his current lifestyle.

Huh? Skylar is offering me a hundred thousand? That's too little! I'll get three hundred thousand from Avery if I get this job done! Charles thought to himself as he stared at her.

Still feeling a little unstable from the effects of the alcohol, he sat down on the sidewalk and seemed to be in deep thought as he puffed away on a cigarette.

“I can transfer the hundred thousand into your bank account instantly!” Skylar added.

Charles cleared his throat as he replied, “A hundred thousand is too little. My genuine love for you is worth a lot more than that!”

Charles' buddy would definitely punish the girl if he found out that she was cheating on him.

Skylar was taking a gamble by hoping that Charles would agree to her terms. Even if he didn't agree to it, she still wouldn't expose the photographs because she didn't want to land the girl in trouble.

I may have wanted to sleep with Skylar, but I've never really done anything apart from making prank calls and kissing her that one time. Everyone in this city fears Tobias for good reason, and I'm no exception. Avery claims she can keep him in check, but I highly doubt that! She strikes me as more of a cunning type. If anything, she might end up leaving me for dead!

After hesitating for about ten minutes, Charles decided to accept Skylar's money and told her, “Your sister, Avery, is the one who asked me to do this. She even told me that you're a virgin. She wanted me to rape you with a few men and send her the footage.”

Skylar took a deep breath to calm herself down after hearing that.

Looks like Avery is a lot more inhumane than I thought. D*mn, I can't believe she'd do such a thing... I suppose it's about time I settle our score once and for all.
