In a husky voice, Tobias drew Skylar into his arms and said, “I'm leaving on a business trip soon, and I'll be returning soon. What if you don't feed me well, and I find myself a mistress?”

Skylar detested the use of the term “mistress.” She turned and headed for the stairs, wishing to call Miranda immediately and confront her about her decision to interfere with another woman's marriage.
