Chapter 1003 

Emily nodded and said to Ms. Simmons, “He’s an old friend of mine.” 

Ms. Simmons praised, “That dude is hot and patient. He even lulled Kya to sleep at noon” 

Kya instantly puffed up with pride and said, “He said he would come to see me tomorrow!” 

Feeling embarrassed, Emily scolded Kya, “You need to leam to sleep. We can’t always be a bother to others!” 

“He isn’t just anyone Kya etorted with a bit of defiance 

Emily tugged at her little nose. “You sure aren’t shy around strangers 

Kya burst into laughter 

In the following days, whenever Charlie had some free time in the afternoon, he’d come over to keep Kya company, lull her to sleep, watch cartoons and play games with her. Whenever Kya had a fever, she would behave much better after his arrival 

Every time he’d come over after lunch and leave around four, but he never ran into Emily 

He later found out from Ms. Simmons that Kya’s mom was taking care of Kya’s grandma in the hospital and couldn’t take care of her at the same time, so she had Ms. Simmons look after her all day. 

Even so, Charlie thought Kya’s mom was neglecting Kya a bit too much, so he began to spoil Kya even more, 

The bond between the two grew stronger

“Go ahead!”

The teacher called me yesterday, saying Henson’s score was really bad, that he dropped from the top few to the last ten in class, and asked me to help figure out why: Janice sounded a bit annoyed, “You know I’m really busy with work, and I can’t go back now, so I’m really anxious. When I heard you’re back in J City, I immediately called you, hoping you could help Henson
