Chapter 1026

During the break on Tuesday’s shoot, Mr. Kress walked into the lounge to find Gwen rehearsing her lines. He smiled at her and said, “You’re always working hard, Gwen. That’s why you’re a star.”

Gwen looked up, laughed, and replied, “Everyone’s pulling their weight. I’m no exception.”

“You’re too modest!” Mr. Kress, sitting on a nearby chair, was somewhat distracted by his phone.

Eyes twinkling, Gwen said, “I saw Estelle on set earlier. Why didn’t you hang out with her?”

Mr. Kress frowned a little. “Estelle is so stubborn. I’ve given her flowers and spent money on her, but she’s still giving me the cold shoulder.”

He turned to Gwen, “I heard you and Estelle used to be close. Can you give me some tips on how to win her over?”

Gwen put down her script, laughing, “It’s actually simple. Like they say, girls always play hard to get. Just put a little more effort into it, and I’m sure Estelle will fall for you.”

“But she won’t accept anything I give her,” Mr. Kress seemed a bit frustrated.

“There are so many people around the set, Estelle wouldn’t dare to accept anything even if she wants to. Especially since she’s a designer dispatched from Snowy Studios. You should’ve sent the gifts to her place,” Gwen suggested.

A light bulb went off in Mr. Kress’ head. “Why didn’t I think of that? Gwen, you’re a genius!”

Gwen smiled softly, “That’s because I understand how girls think better.”

Mr. Kress leaned in closer, “Can you ask Estelle where she lives for me?”

“No need to ask. I’m her friend, I know where she lives. Let me send you her address.” Gwen took out her phone.

“Great,” Mr. Kress nodded eagerly.

After Gwen sent the address, she looked at Mr. Kress’ eager face, a cold glint in her eyes, but she still maintained a sweet smile, “I’ve done everything I can. You have to work hard, Estelle is very beautiful, and she must have many pursuers.”

“Trust me, I’ll succeed.” Mr. Kress laughed confidently.

The next day, Estelle received a package. Inside was a designer bag.

She glanced at the sender and called Mr. Kress, “Mr. Kress, did you send this bag?”

Mr. Kress laughed, “Yes, a friend of mine was traveling abroad and I asked her to buy it. This bag would cost at least 30,000 in the domestic store, but it only costs a little over 10,000 abroad.”

He emphasized the price, thinking that the bag would surely appeal to Estelle, who had just graduated not long ago.

After all, Estelle’s usual bag didn’t stand out, clearly not a designer one.

He didn’t dare to buy an expensive bag at first, afraid to spoil Estelle.

Estelle responded coldly, “I don’t need it. Give me an address and I’ll send it back.”

“Why would I need a woman’s bag, Estelle, don’t overthink it. Even if you don’t want to date, we can still be friends. It’s normal for friends to give each other gifts “Mr. Kress!” Estelle cut him off, “If you don’t want this bag, I’m going to throw it away!”
