Mr Kress was worried that Gwen might come after him for revenge, probably because she was still in a state of despair.

Craig’s head was spinning. He suddenly remembered when he first met Gwen at the Movie Center with Estelle. Gwen was outspoken, adorable, food–loving, and a bit stingy. The three of them would often hang out in the small yard, laughing, messing around, and chatting.

In fact, Estelle didn’t join in their idle chatter much. Most of the time, it was him and Gwen who were having fun and talking.

Mr. Mayfield even thought he had a crush on Gwen, and advised him to be cautious.
