Chapter 1069

Estelle chuckled, “I can compensate you with something else, but I can’t give myself up.”

“What’s holding you back, Estelle? If you’re worried about the acting part, I can guide you through it,” Mr. Tucker earnestly offered.

“Thanks for the offer, but acting really isn’t my thing.”

Estelle’s refusal didn’t deter Mr. Tucker. He was determined to wait for her agreement.

Firefly Media Group, noticing the silence from the film crew, called Mr. Tucker to check on the casting progress.

Mr. Tucker explained his intentions of casting Estelle as the lead actress, stating he was still trying to persuade her and needed a few more days.

When Aaron heard about this, he gave Jonathan a call.

Jonathan was also surprised, “Estelle, as the lead actress?”

“Yes, Mr. Tucker is very keen on her playing the role, just waiting for her agreement.”

Jonathan frowned slightly, “Does the female lead have any kissing scenes?”

Aaron replied, “Yes, there are three kissing scenes between the lead characters.”

“Then tell Mr. Tucker I disapprove. He should find another actress ASAP” Jonathan’s tone was firm and left no room for argument.

Jonathan was sitting in a private room at Midnight Bar, ended the call and tossed his phone onto the coffee table.

Charlie James sitting nearby looked over, chuckling, “What’s up, something about Estelle?”

“Yeah, Mr. Tucker wants Estelle to replace Gwen as the lead actress,” Jonathan said calmly.

Charlie was surprised then burst into laughter, “Isn’t that a joke? Estelle isn’t even an actress.”

“She’s not a fan of public attention,” Jonathan lit a cigarette, “I suppose Mr. Tucker is also getting a no from her.”

Charlie leaned back on the couch, looking handsome as he laughed lightly, “So, is Gwen out of the picture?”

“Yeah,” Jonathan flicked some ash, nodding lightly.

“I knew you wouldn’t let anyone mess with Estelle. Josiah was so pissed he wanted to off Gwen, I stopped him. Told him you must have a plan and he shouldn’t act rashly.”

Jonathan’s gaze was cold, “How could she have a hard fall if we don’t let her rise first?”

Charlie smiled, “So, you and Gwen were playing a game from the beginning, why?”

“If I kept waiting, when do you think Estelle would come back?” Jonathan.shot back.

Charlie blinked then realization dawned, “Oh, I see!”
