Chapter 1096

Estelle only told Jonathan after getting in the car, “You don’t have to keep me tied to you, you know.”

“You said you’re not into me, so I’ve got to make the most of every moment we have together to get you to change your mind.” Jonathan leaned closer, murmuring, “Unless you say you love me, I won’t let you off the hook”

The evening sun glinted in his eyes, and they were so close that Estelle could see her own reflection in them. She stared right back at him, then suddenly burst into laughter,

“How long are you willing to wait?”

“Let’s find out!”

“Alright then, let’s find out!”

The ecological park was a sight to behold. The tour bus first passed through a primeval forest. The forest was dense with towering trees that reached up into the sky, while the undergrowth beneath them was neatly trimmed. Visitors could step off the bus at any time to walk on the clean grass and take a stroll in the forest.

The tall trees shielded them from the summer heat. The forest air was humid and fresh, reminiscent of early spring.

“Look, there’s a herd of deer!”

“And giraffes!”

“Oh wow, there are wild horses over there!”

The visitors’ excited exclamations followed one after another. Estelle looked into the forest and sure enough, spotted a herd of deer. The deer, upon seeing the people and cars, were not afraid, but curiously stopped to gaze back.

The forest was free of carnivorous animals, home only to these endearing herbivores.

Listening to the birdsong and observing the wildlife so close by gave one a true sense of reconnecting with nature.

Jane got the bus to stop and ran after a squirrel. An alpaca walked up behind her, stuck its head over her shoulder to get at the snacks in her hand. This startled her, and she dropped the snacks and ran, causing everyone else to burst into laughter.

Jonathan asked Estelle, “Wanna get off the bus?”

After a moment’s consideration, Estelle shook her head, “Nah, it’s good.”

The bus continued on its journey, through the primeval forest, the tropical plant area, and an avenue lined with centuries-old ginkgo trees…

As dusk fell, the twilight painted everything a golden hue. The air was fresh, the temperature comfortable, and a gentle breeze made one feel as though every pore was opening up to fully breathe in the essence of nature.

Estelle sat quietly on the bus, taking in the beautiful scenery. The stress she had been feeling seemed to vanish, and she felt incredibly relaxed!

Jonathan took her hand. In the twilight, his handsome features even more striking, his eyes full of tenderness. He kept looking at her, “Feeling better now?”
