Chapter 1105

Carson poured her a drink, “Even though I’m not exactly a one-woman man, I don’t date two women at the same time. You can chill, while we’re engaged, I won’t be messing around with any other woman. I just ran into an ex-girlfriend earlier, that’s

all.”

Marina looked at him, shocked.

Carson frowned, “What’s with the look?”

“Your ex still has a thing for you. That means you’re a good guy!” Marina said sincerely.

Just as a smile started to curve Carson’s lips, he suddenly felt something was off and turned to her, “Are you being sarcastic?”

“No!” Marina quickly shook her head, “My ex and I are like cats and dogs, and we can’t stand each other, so managing to stay friendly after a breakup, that speaks volumes about your character!”

She gave Carson a thumbs up.

Carson, unable to figure out what she was really thinking, laughed and asked, “You said earlier that you broke up with your boyfriend because his first love came back? What’s that about?”

“The girl he liked before dating me found him, so he dumped me on the spot and ran back to her!” Marina said casually, taking a sip of her drink.

Carson scoffed, “Why didn’t you fight for him. What a pushover!”

“They’re already sleeping together!” Marina replied slowly.

The hotel offered a buffet breakfast with a wide variety. However, Marina wasn’t very hungry, she just got a cup of coffee and a sandwich, then took it out to the garden to eat.

The trees in the garden were rare and exotic species transplanted from various places. They stood tall, meticulously pruned with artistic precision. Just sitting under a tree, listening to the birds chirping could lift your mood for the whole day.

Marina was halfway through her coffee when a strong perfume scent wafted over, followed by a soft woman’s voice, “Is this seat taken?”

Marina looked up, slightly taken aback, as it was the girl she saw with Freddy yesterday.

Despite the many available tables, she chose to sit with Marina. Clearly, she was doing this on purpose.
