Chapter 1114
“Shush,” Estelle gestured, looking around before brushing his hand off, “Aren’t you supposed to be proposing to Amiee? And you’re still taking on tasks?”
Josiah froze, clutching her tightly, “I can handle short-term tasks. I just wanna do them!”
“Let’s talk about it after you propose!”
“Really?”
“Yup, really!”
“Then I’m in!” Josiah immediately got excited again, “You gotta help me get tasks then!”
A gentle cough came from behind them. They both turned around to see Jonathan a few steps away, looking at them with a teasing smile, his gaze falling on Josiah’s hand clutching Estelle’s arm.
Josiah felt a chill on his arm, but he still held on to her. “Jonah, you’re not jealous of my friendship with Estelle, are you?”
Jonathan came over, pushed Josiah away directly, leaving Josiah wide-eyed and speechless.
As everyone took their seats, Estelle looked around but didn’t spot the woman named Waters. Waters had been sticking to Charlie all day yesterday, but she was nowhere to be seen today.
She had a hunch that something must have happened between Waters and Charlie last night.
Carson smiled faintly, “He chose to compete. As for betting on the game, that was his decision.”
Cindy shook her head immediately, “I’m not blaming you. It’s his problem that he lost money. But he said he would win and encouraged me to put money in as well. That was all the money I had.”
She widened her eyes, biting her lip, and staring at Carson with an innocent expression, “I heard that you are the owner of the eco-park. You’re so rich, can you give me my money back? Please!”
Marina was standing behind the door, watching Cindy’s actions, feeling disgusted.
Freddy was seriously injured and might still be in the infirmary. Instead of looking after Freddy, Cindy had come to find Carson!
