Chapter 1120
“This is a white horse,” Estelle explained with a smile.
Kya scrunched up her face, a bit confused. “I want a donkey to ride to the market. Can this horse go to the market?”
Estelle was tickled by her innocent question and nodded, “Of course it can. It can take you to the market, okay?”
Only then did Kya break into a smile, revealing a few white baby teeth. Suddenly, she glanced out the window and said in a cute tone, “It’s dark out. The market’s probably closed. Shall we go tomorrow?”
Estelle laughed so hard that she sat down on the floor, “Sure, whenever you say.”
While they were playing castle, Kya suddenly asked Estelle, “Estelle, why hasn’t Uncle Charlie come to see me?”
Estelle’s smile froze. She hugged Kya close and said softly, “He’s been really busy. He’ll come see you in a few days, okay? Kya nodded understandingly, “Okay, I’ll wait for him.”
This made Estelle feel a bit bitter inside. After all, Kya was the most innocent one. She was bom without a father.
“What are you two talking about? Come eat!” Emily called out.
Estelle carried Kya to the dining room, “Let’s go eat first, then I’ll play with you later.”
After dinner, Estelle played with Kya for a bit, then went back to her room when it was time for Kya to sleep.
Not at all sleepy after a long nap that afternoon, Estelle took a bath and sat in her study working on design drafts. Suddenly her phone on the side rang. Estelle glanced at it and picked it up, “Hello, Mr. Tucker?”
“Estelle!” Mr. Tucker’s voice was friendly. “We’re starting work tomorrow. Are you ready?”
Estelle chuckled, “No problem, I’ll be there on time in the morning.”
Her family had considerable influence in H City, and Yulia had been in the entertainment industry for a while, aided by her family. Now 25, she wasn’t super famous, but she always had decent roles.
Craig lowered his voice, “I heard Mr. Tucker isn’t a big fan of Yulia. She was sort of forced on him because he owed someone a favor”
He snorted, “The new members were supposed to join today, but it’s already noon and she’s not here. She’s so full of herself. Mr. Tucker and the other directors are going to have to deal with her from now on.”
Estelle raised an eyebrow, “Mr. Tucker seemed fine when he called me yesterday. I thought he’d found a lead actress he was happy with. Turns out he was just putting on a brave face.”
Craig laughed at her joke, “With all those twists and turns while shooting this show, and now we’ve got this self-centered person, it’s hard to say if the show will be aired successfully.”
They chatted a bit more until it was time for lunch.
