Chapter 1126

Carmella hit the road to the filming set early next day, introducing herself to the crew as Yulia’s newly hired personal designer

With Yulia yet to arrive, the crew members ushered Carmella in to wait

She took a spin around the makeup room; seeing everyone hustling and bustling, she sat idly by

Estelle, with her assistant in tow, was sorting out the day’s costumes for the other actors. The actors in makeup waved to Estelle, respect for her had grown quite a bit since they resumed filming.

Carmella hadn’t seen Estelle in two years, and now face to face, she clenched her hands, wondering how to give her a friendly smile and greeting.

But Estelle didn’t even glance her way, finished her business and made a beeline out.

Carmella immediately got up to follow Estelle, catching up in the corridor, she went, “Hey sis, long time no see!”

Estelle stopped and turned, a bit surprised, “What are you doing here?”

“I’m Yulia’s personal designer, brought in specially to style her outfits,” Carmella smirked, “I’m really sorry for stealing your gig, but she didn’t fancy your styling. She insisted on having me, so I had to accept!”

Estelle calmly looked at her, then suddenly smiled, “Well, that’s nice.”

With that, she turned and walked off, back to her tasks.

Carmella was a bit taken aback by Estelle’s reaction; she thought Estelle would be furious out of embarrassment, but she just brushed it off and left.

A glimmer of light flickered in Carmella’s eyes as she thought to herself, “Estelle must be seething inside, just hiding it really well.”

Carmella waited in the makeup room for two hours before Yulia finally showed up.

She looked at Carmella languidly, “So you’re the designer Finley foisted on me?”

Everyone around heard her and glanced over, with expressions of realization and mockery on their faces.

Carmella had been waiting for quite a while, and whenever someone asked, she always said she was hired by Yulia: So. everyone thought Yulia wasn’t satisfied with Estelle and specifically brought in a better designer. However, the first thing Yulia said on arrival completely undermined Carmella. It turned out it wasn’t Yulia who hired her, but she had wormed her way in through other means.

Hearing this, Carmella’s heart sank, but she dared not show any reaction on her face, she chuckled softly, “Mr. Gould said he was dissatisfied with the set’s designer, so he asked me to give it a shot”
