Chapter 1142 

Estelle wasn’t sure if there was really someone outside the car, giving a vague reply. 

“Good girl!” the man chuckled happily, leaning in for another kiss. 

Estelle looked up and said, “Let’s bring Henson to the horse ranch tomorrow afternoon.” 

Jonathan hesitated, seeming reluctant. “Why do we need to bring him to our date?” 

“I promised him I’d teach him how to shoot if he improved his studies!” 

Jonathan murmured, “You remember the promises you made to others, but why can’t you remember the ones you made to me?” 

“What did I promise you?” 

“You promised me you’d always be by my side.” 

“You said it yourself, you were tired of it!” 

Jonathan was taken aback, why did he say such a thing? 

Suddenly, Estelle’s phone rang in her pocket. She quickly sat back in her chair and answered it. 

It was Emily calling, asking why she hadn’t come back yet; dinner was almost ready. 

Estelle cleared her throat. “I’m downstairs; I’ll be up in a minute.” 

After hanging up, she said goodbye to Jonathan. She turned around to see him still looking at her, words caught in her throat. 

Jonathan gently patted her head, smiling softly, saying, “Go up, enjoy your meal.” 

“Yeah, drive safe.”” 

Estelle nodded slightly and got out of the car. 

She knew he was watching, so she didn’t look back. She walked steadily straight into the building. 

Jonathan sighed again in the car, she never looked back at him. So cold! 

Estelle went upstairs and entered the apartment. Emily was setting the table in the dining room. “Why are you so late today?” 

“Henson had something; the class ran late.” Estelle changed her shoes and walked into the living room. 

Kya was coming towards her. “Estelle!” 

“What did you do this morning?” Estelle asked with a smile. 

“I went to the supermarket with mom, and she bought us candy.” As she spoke, Kya took out two lollipops from her pocket and gave one to Estelle. “Mom said, one for Estelle and one for me, and I can’t sneak one.” 

Estelle laughed, holding the lollipop. “Let’s save it for after dinner, okay?” 

Kya nodded obediently and said, “Okay!” 

Estelle played with Kya for a while, then suddenly remembered something She got up and walked to the balcony; sure enough, the black Bentley was still parked downstairs. 

For a moment, she was tempted to call him and ask if he wanted to come up for dinner
