A few minutes later, Emily stood speechless in front of the clean cabinets and kitchenware. 

Charlie had actually created a kitchen for her. 

It was originally a wall full of bookshelves, but after Charlie pushed some switches, the shelves separated to reveal a kitchen. 

The kitchen was spacious, divided into Chinese and Western styles. 

All the kitchen appliances were available, but they looked like they hadn’t been used even once. 

Emily was stunned for a moment, then turned and said, “But we don’t have any ingredients!” 

“Well, go buy some; do I need to teach you that?” Charlie replied with a stern face 

“Okay, I’ll go now.” 

Emily took a deep breath and turned to leave. 

While waiting for the elevator she noticed Charle also picking up his suit jacket and heading out. 

Seeing her puzzled look, he said impatiently. Til take you. If you’re left to find the nearest supermarket, God knows how long it take. I’m hungry!” Emily muttered to herself, Just now he said he wasn’t hungry; now he’s suddenly starving? 

When did this man become so fickle? 

They went straight to the underground garage, where Charlie drove her to a nearby supermarket to buy ingredients 

Upon entering the supermarket, Emily pushed the cart towards the fresh produce section, glancing around and asking Charlie, “Mr. James, what do you want for lunch?” 

“Whatever!” 

Emily spotted some ready-cut steaks and asked, “We’re a bit pressed for time today, how about pan-fried steak?” 

Charlie frowned. “This kind of steak isn’t good. The worst thing an assistant can do is inconvenience the boss for their own convenience!” 

Emily took a deep breath and said apologetically, “My bad, I apologize!” 

Determined not to let the boss be inconvenienced, Emily bought two fish and, based on her knowledge of Charlie’s preferences, purchased other meats and vegetables. 

He liked beef without a trace of tendon, seafood that smelled fresh, not fishy, and he disliked leafy greens. 

She learned all this when she took care of him while he was sick. This man seemed easygoing, but he was full of quirks. 

After buying the produce and various seasonings, they passed by the snacks section, where Charlie instinctively wanted to add chocolate to the 

cart: 

Back when they used to go grocery shopping together, he knew she loved snacks, so he would always buy her a bunch 

They bought quite a lot, filling two shopping bags. After paying, Charlie single-handedly carried the two bags out. 

He was carrying around 20 kilos with no problem, and Emily had to jog to keep up. 

“Let me carry it!” Emily reached out to take the bags.
