Estelle looked at him and suggested, “Let’s switch to two small tubs.” 

Jonathan nodded, “Sure!” 

Reluctantly, Estelle replaced the shopping cart’s ice cream with two smaller tubs, sighing internally, she wouldn’t be able to enjoy ice cream freely anymore. 

“You still haven’t answered me, what did Charlie say?” Estelle asked. 

“What else could he say, of course, he was thrilled!” 

Estelle nodded, if Emily could really end up with Charlie, things might not be as bad as they imagined, it could be a fresh start. 

Back upstairs, Jonathan put the groceries in the kitchen. Estelle handed some cookies to Kya, then told Emily, “Charlie’s is going to swing by later.” Emily looked at her in surprise, “What?” 

“It was my decision,” Estelle apologized with a smile, JHe won’t know about Kya’s background. You’re working under him now; you should try to get along.” 

Emily thought for a moment, “I’m afraid I’ll be nervous in front of him.” 

“Then see him more often, gradually overcome your nerves.” 

Emily pondered for a while, then slowly said, “You’re right, I’m with him every day, I can’t always be this nervous, I should relax and treat him like a friend as before.” 

Even if he was tough on her, often scolding her, she should get used to it. 

“That’s the spirit!” Estelle nodded approvingly. 

“How did you manage to be with Mr. Lamont?” Emily asked curiously. 

“Actually,” Estelle smiled slightly, “We’ve met many times already.” 

Emily laughed, “Did Mr. Lamont really move in across from you?”. 

I only found out yesterday.” 

“Mr. Lamont is really trying hard, you’ll be happy with him,” Emily took Estelle’s hand. 

“I’m willing to give it another shot!” Estelle said earnestly, her eyes clear. 

Emily nodded with a smile, “How can anyone easily forget someone they’ve loved?”. 

“We may still have a lot of issues, but I believe we can solve them.” 

“Does Manley know?” Emily asked. 

“He does,” Estelle lowered her head, “I can only apologize to him.” 

“Love can’t be forced, he’s smart, he’ll understand,” Emily comforted her with a smile, “What about Magdalen, does she know?” 

“She doesn’t!” Estelle said helplessly, “She and Morrison Langston are still abroad; I’m afraid if I tell her, she’ll come back immediately, let her have a few more days of fun.” 

Emily couldn’t help but laugh, as if she could already see Magdalen’s raging face, “If she freaks out, I’ll help you hold her off.” 

“Great!” Estelle nodded. 

Both laughed together. 

Jonathan came over and asked, “What are you guys laughing about?”
