Chapter 150 

Jonathan’s voice carried a gentler tone as he replied, “No problem, you’re in charge.” 

Estelle’s eye twitched, but she maintained a composed demeanor and stated casually, “I’ll find a new place once she moves out.” 

There was a moment of silence before Jonathan spoke softly, “You’ve already paid the rent for this month. You can stay until the end of the month.” 

Estelle lowered her gaze, offering no response. 

The car soon stopped, Estelle hesitated for a moment before getting up and awkwardly said, “Thanks for today.” 

Whatever his attitude, he did help her. 

Jonathan looked at her, speaking calmly, “I’ll handle everything in the future, you don’t need to worry about anything.” 

Estelle looked into his eyes, feeling all kinds of emotions swirling in her chest. She gave a slight nod, opened the door and got out of the car. 

Jonathan watched Estelle’s retreating figure and said lightly, “Tell all the police stations in J City that if Estelle ever gets in trouble again, they should call me directly.” 

Millard’s eyes flickered, promptly responding, “Yes.” 

Estelle had already entered the door, Jonathan turned around, “Let’s go!” 

When she got home, it was evening, and Emily hadn’t returned yet. 

Estelle took a shower, sat on the balcony sofa, stared at the sunset for a while, and then picked up a book. 

She recalled the man’s words, “You don’t have to worry about anything, I’ll be there.” 

Annoyed, she flipped through the book. Weren’t they over? Why was he still looking after her? 

What did he mean? 

Unable to continue reading, she picked up her phone to play Sudoku but ended up daydreaming while staring at the grid. 

Ever since arriving in J City, she hadn’t been so restless in a long time. 

The next morning, Estelle received a call from Chris, and he sounded rushed, “Estelle, have you seen the news?” 

Estelle was taken aback, “What news?” 

“Just check your phone. The internet celebrity Annetta is all over the place. Someone uploaded yesterday’s surveillance videos from the Barry Group, showing her and her team’s arrogant behavior very clearly, as well as her appearance at the police station. It’s hilarious.” Estelle glanced at her phone and discovered that news about Annetta had spread across the entertainment section. Despite her sweet and innocent public image, her team had successfully crafted a kind and pure persona for her. Little did anyone suspect that she possessed a vulgar and despicable nature behind the scenes. 

To Estelle’s surprise, a video had been uploaded the previous night, where her and Chris’s faces were deliberately blurred to conceal their identities. Upon the story breaking, Annetta lost hundreds of thousands of fans overnight. More people came forward to expose her, claiming her charity work was all for show, with staged props, and even the photos of her visiting children in rural areas were fake. Videos of her filming and having security to block roads, rudely driving away passersby were also dug up. Those who had posted the videos had been attacked by her fans, accusing them of trying to gain popularity by riding Annetta’s coattails. Now they finally cleared their names. 

The incident caused quite a stir, and everyone on the internet was condemning her. 

This morning, with all kinds of scandals about Annetta making it onto the trending lists, the entertainment websites and the app that made her famous all issued notices, permanently banning her.
