Chapter 1643

“Estelle’s friend?” Mr. Jarvis, like Wade, was pleasantly surprised. He nodded enthusiastically. “Well, well!”

He looked at Kya, then at Estelle, “I knew it! How could you raise such a well-behaved child?”

Estelle was taken aback but didn’t say anything.

Mr. Jarvis then called for the servants, “Bring some snacks that kids like. If we don’t have any, go buy some right now!”

Emily hurriedly said, “You don’t need to be so courteous; she’s been eating along our flight.”

Kya liked the kind and amiable man. Without any prompting, she laughed merrily and said, “Thank you, grandpal

As Mr. Jarvis listened to Kya’s sweet voice, his smile grew more benevolent. He reached out to Kya, “Let grandpa give you a hug!”

Kya opened her arms and ran towards Mr. Jarvis.

Mr. Jarvis lifted Kya into his arms, his face beaming with a loving smile, “Let’s go! It’s lunch time!”

As they passed by Jonathan, Mr. Jarvis said softly, “You and Estelle need to hurry up. I’m looking forward to have a grandchild too!”

Jonathan glanced at Estelle and smiled, “It won’t be long!”

“Good! Put it on the agenda” Mr. Jarvis nodded contentedly, and left with Kya in his arms.

In the dining room, the servants were setting the table. The meal consisted of ten dishes and a soup, all of which were local dishes from C City, full of with color and flavor.

Wade laughed, “I didn’t know Ms. Sullivan would be joining us. So I kept the lunch simple. Please bear with us!”

Emily shook her head, “This meal is already very sumptuous.”

Mr. Jarvis added, “These are local dishes from C City. I’m not sure if you like them. Just feel free to let us know if there’s anything you don’t enjoy. Don’t be polite!”

Emily pursed her lips, revealing two charming dimples, “Actually, a lot of the dishes in J City have developed from C City’s cuisine, incorporating the characteristics of other culinary styles. So, when you’re in C City, you’ll experience more authentic and pure flavors.”

City was surprised, “You seem quite knowledgeable

“Calling me knowledgeable is too much. My dad’s a chef, so I’ve picked up a bit here and there, Emily laughed modestly.

“That’s good, you’re a smart girl! Unlike Estelle, who only knows how to eat!” Mr. Jarvis chuckled, nodding.

Estelle, who was eating a sweet and sour shrimp ball, looked up and her face slightly puffed up, appearing rather innocent.

Jonathan served her some food, his eyes filled with adoration, “Just eat, I don’t mind.”

Laughter filled the room.

During the meal, Estelle’s phone rang. She picked it up and saw it was a call from Terrence Macclain.

When they had landed earlier, she had missed three missed calls from Terrence. She knew he was calling to ask her to come back for the festival, but she didn’t call back.

And now he was calling again.

In the past, Terrence would never have had the patience to call her multiple times. It was indeed a different situation now.
