Chapter 1667

“What if I refuse? Are you and Simone prepared to hand over all your assets to Carmella?” Estelle questioned.

Bennett shook his head, “Originally, your mother and I had planned to split the property evenly between you and your sister.”

Estelle smirked, “But Simone didn’t agree, did she?”

A flicker of embarrassment crossed Bennett’s face but he quickly responded, “That’s not what your mother intended. She still plans to give you your

share.”

Bennett’s statement was ambiguous, not because he was foolish or wanted to offend Estelle, but as a subtle threat. He was telling Estelle that if she remained stubborn and refused to help him, she might not receive a single penny from the Macclain family’s fortune.

Or if she did, it would be a small fraction.

Estelle, of course, understood his implication. Her eyes turned colder, “Firstly, I’ve never considered inheriting anything from you. To be frank, I’m not even interested. Whoever you decide to give it to, I won’t fight for it. Secondly, I don’t need to cater to anyone’s whims. In fact, hearing you talk about this makes me feel somewhat nauseated.

Bennett’s face hardened, “Estelle, I’m doing this for your own good!”

“Thank you, but I think Carmella needs your ‘good’ more than I do,” Estelle stood up, her gaze frosty, “If you want me to design a dress for Antonia, let her beg me on her knees. If I’m in a good mood, I might consider it.”

Then Estelle turned to leave, her retreating figure radiating an aura of cold determination.

Bennett was taken aback for a moment before he angrily smashed his glass on the table.

The waiter came over with the food, but Bennett didn’t even glance at it. He quickly paid the bill and left.

As soon as he got back to his car, Simone called him, asking if he’d spoken to Estelle.

Bennett answered gruffly, “I did, and she refused.”

Simone scoffed, “I knew it would turn out this way. With her ungrateful attitude, did you really think she would consider the Macclain family’s interests? She’s a heartless monster, devoid of any gratitude. If she showed any signs of appreciation, I wouldn’t have neglected her.”

Simone’s words grew more heated, “She’s just a designer, and she acts as if she’s superior to everyone else. You thought she would consider the Macclain family and us? You’ve overestimated her.”

Bennett sighed, “I only wanted to lessen our father’s disapproval. Plus, if the project in B City goes through, my company will benefit as well. I just didn’t expect Estelle to be so heartless.”
