Chapter 1726

After class, Estelle headed upstairs to find Jonathan.

She knocked and entered to find Jonathan behind his desk by the window, reading a book. He smiled when Estelle entered. “Why bother knocking? Don't treat yourself like a stranger."

Estelle placed a bowl of soup on his desk. Her delicate eyes softened. "Your mom sent this for you. Have some."

Jonathan chuckled, “Mom's intention is for you to stay healthy so you can give her a grandchild soon. If she knew that all these nourishing soups she made are being gulped down by me, she'd probably be so mad."

Estelle replied, "No, she wouldn't. I’m the one letting you have it, so she'd be mad at me."

Jonathan took her hand and pulled her onto his lap, his hands wrapped around her slender waist. “She wouldn't dare vent her anger on you. She'd take it out on me."

“Have your soup first!" Estelle nudged the bowl toward him.

Jonathan frowned and asked, "Do I have to? I don't really enjoy soups."

“How about I feed you?" Estelle raised an eyebrow, her clear eyes carrying a hint of playfulness.

Jonathan's eyes darkened, saying meaningfully, "And how would you feed me?"

Estelle blinked and said, "The way you're thinking!"

Jonathan swallowed hard, his gaze intense. “Well, what are we waiting for?"

Estelle's lips curled up into a smile as she scooped up some soup and held it to his lips, coaxing him, “Open up."

Jonathan looked at her with deep, playful eyes, leaning back in his chair. "Is this what you had in mind?"

Estelle tilted her head, "Isn't it?"

Jonathan's eyes held a mock resentment and a hint of disappointment.

Estelle laughed, feeding herself some soup before leaning in, pressing her lips onto his.

The soup melted in their mouths. After a few swallows, Jonathan set the bowl on the table, then cradled her face, pulling her closer against his chest, kissing her with focused tenderness.
