Chapter 1739

Emily woke up early and steamed some muffins and made some oatmeal. She then sent a message to Estelle asking if she wanted to come down for breakfast.

With the food was nearly ready, Kya woke up. Emily washed Kya's face, changed her clothes, and sat her on the couch to braid her hair.

“Mommy, are you taking the day off today?” Kya asked with her large, innocent eyes.

Ms. Simmon hadn't come, which meant her mom was taking the day off.

“Yes, would you like to go out and have some fun?” Emily said with a smile.

Kya immediately nodded, “Yes!"

“Well, be a good girl and finish your breakfast. Then I will take you to the amusement park!"

Kya grinned brightly, and her eyes curled into crescent moons. “Can I invite Estelle and Magdalen to join us?"

“Estelle has classes today and she won't have the time,” Emily explained. “Magdalen has her own plans. So it's just Mommy who can accompany you. Is that okay?"

“Okay!” Kya nodded obediently.

Emily finished braiding her hair. When they went to have their breakfast, her phone rang..

She picked it up and answered, “Mom!"

Gina chuckled on the other end. “Emily, you're taking the day off today, aren't you? You haven't been back home for a while. Why don't you come over today? I can make some homemade pasta."

Emily replied calmly, “No, thanks, I promised to take Kya to the amusement park today."
