Chapter 1770

Charlie nodded, “Just went to sleep."

Mrs. James chuckled warmly, "You haven't taken care of a child before, how about we let Kya sleep in our room? I'll carry her over, I promise I won't wake her up."

Charlie immediately stepped aside, "I can take care of her myself."

“What do you mean you can take care of her? What if you roll over in your sleep and squash Kya?" Mrs. James patted Charlie's shoulder, "This is also what your dad thinks, our bed is big. Kya will be in the middle and she won't roll off."

Charlie resisted, "Kya might wake up, not recognize her surroundings, and cry"

“We'll call you if she cries."

Charlie was forcefully pushed aside by Mrs. James, who then unceremoniously carried the sleeping Kya away, warning him over her shoulder, "Don't try to come and steal her back, if you wake Kya up, your dad will have a bone to pick with you-"

Charlie was speechless.

His daughter kidnapped, Charlie was too angry to sleep. He stood up and went to the balcony to smoke a cigarette, then called Jonathan, "Come out for a drink."

Jonathan had been busy today, he had just returned, he hadn't even gotten out of his car yet.

Knowing Charlie was definitely disturbed tonight, Jonathan thought about how Charlie had been there for him before, he couldn't be disloyal at such a time.

He agreed to meet Charlie and called Estelle to let her know, "Ella, Charlie wants me to go out for a drink with him, should I go?"

Estelle was straightforward, “Go ahead, I'm at Emily's."

Jonathan chuckled, "Okay, I'll pick you up when I get back."

After Estella hung up, Jonathan swung his car around and slowly drove off.

Midnight Bar Jonathan and Charlie sat across from each other, the coffee table in between them cluttered with several opened bottles of liquor.
