Bard introduced, "Good day, Gina. I'm the head of OrbitaTech Ventures, and this is our matriarch, Mrs. James!"

Gina, lost in her thoughts, barely caught Bard's words. She quickly blurted out, "I don't care who you are; the compensation for the fire has nothing to do with us. You should go talk to Emily!"

Bard's face stiffened, helplessly glancing at Mrs. James.

Mrs. James appeared mildly surprised, smiling gently as she asked, "Why should we go talk to Emily? Shawn is your husband, and Emily isn't his only child!"

Bonnie rushed forward, "But Emily already signed an agreement with us! We will take care of our mom, and Emily will deal with her dad's affairs, including the compensation to your company!"

Mrs. James turned to Bard, to which he responded with a faint nod.

Mrs. James hadn't initially come for this matter, but the Sullivans surprised her with their declaration. "How could you put so much burden on Emily, a young girl?"

Bonnie quickly replied, “We don't care. It’s her own request!"

Gina chimed in, "She should find a way. She has many wealthy friends. Let her borrow money and compensate you!"

Mrs. James found it unbelievable, "She borrows money, and she doesn't have to pay it back? I heard she even has a child. As a mother, you don't care about her?"

Gina looked a bit embarrassed, “We don't have money, either. Even if we wanted to help."

Mrs. James gave Gina a sarcastic look, "Mothers generally care deeply for their daughters, don't they? I've seen many people disregard their children for their own benefit, but you've still broadened my horizons.."
