"Because one smack wasn't enough to teach you a lesson!" Sophia glared at her. "I could let it slide when you slandered me, but dare to drag Jason into this, and I won't let you off the hook!"
Diana winced in pain, her pride hurt as much as her body, "Don't try to act all high and mighty. You swear there's nothing going on between you and Jason? Everyone knows you two are living together, you think I'm clueless?"
Sophia furrowed her brows, "Who told you that?"
Just as Diana was about to respond, she caught sight of Robin striding towards them. Tears started streaming down her face as she cried out, "Robin!"
Sophia turned to see the man approaching.
Robin, caught off guard to find Sophia there, stared at her in surprise, "What are you doing here?"
"I came to grab a bite," Sophia stated firmly.
"I see," Robin said, his gaze deep, "I just didn't expect to see you here!"
Diana's tears fell in quick succession, but she was ignored. In a more pitiful tone, she called out again, "Robin, I can't get up!"
Only then did Robin glance at Diana, but instead of helping her up, he frowned, "What happened?"
Before Sophia could speak, a girl in a sweater quickly explained, "President Hester, we've finalized the collaboration plan with HY Group. Diana said she'd treat the department to dinner as a reward. We were just heading to the restroom, and out of nowhere, Sophia came running and started hitting her. I couldn't stop her!"
Sophia looked at Robin, her voice cold, "Did you tell Diana I cheated first?"
"Of course not!" Robin replied.
"Good!" Sophia nodded, stepped forward, grabbed Diana up, and asked the girl in the sweater, "Which private dining room?"
Diana limped and struggled, "Let me go, let me go!"
The girl in the sweater didn't respond, her gaze flickering.
Finally, Robin spoke up, "Room 1005."
Diana's face paled as the room buzzed with shock and whispers.
Robin looked at Sophia seriously, "Sophia, calm down. I don't know what Diana has said to upset you, but if you're this angry, she must be at fault. I'll have her apologize. Let's the three of us go outside and talk, okay?"
"No way!" Sophia flatly refused. "If Diana isn't ashamed, neither am I. You need to tell the truth in front of your colleagues now. Did Diana's interference cause our breakup?"
Diana looked at Robin desperately, pleading with her eyes for him not to confess.
Robin, however, slowly nodded, "Yes, Diana and I did something wrong to you."
Murmurs of disapproval filled the room, their gazes shifting from Robin to Diana, realizing the truth behind the accusations.
Diana, pale, attempted to argue, but Sophia cut her off, pressing Robin, "One more question, does our breakup have anything to do with Jason?"
Robin's face tightened, his eyes locked on Sophia.
