Having bottled up his emotions for several days, it reached its peak after visiting the Lamont family, and finally erupted at this moment.

It was all because of Leah, all because of the Burke family!

Otherwise, he would’ve been the Lamont family’s son–in–law, and not only he would bez the vice president but even the entire company could’ve

been his!

But now, he had nothing!

He took out all his resentment on Leah, beating her until she wailed in agony. And the more Nicolas heard her cries, the more excited he became! After beating up Leah, Nicolas ran away!

He sold the earrings he’d stolen from Leah, which were meant for Norah, for thousands of dollars, found a house to live in temporarily, and planned to permanently sever ties with the Burke family, find a job, and start over.

However, every time he went for an interview, as soon as the other party saw his resume, they rejected him without even giving him a chance for self–introduction.

After trying several companies, he began to feel that something was wrong. He asked a friend who was doing well and found out that the Lamont family had given orders, forbidding all companies in J City from hiring him.

Upon hearing this news, Nicolas froze for a moment, his face turning ashen!

He finally realized how the Burke family was wiped out!

On Wednesday, Estelle didn’t have to go to Midnight Bar and remembered that it had been a long time since she saw Max, so she decided to visit Villa del Sol.

Calvin loved Emily’s caramel cookies, so Estelle went to the dessert store first.

Emily brought the desserts over with a sneaky grin, “I added a layer of ice cream for you.”

Estelle glanced at Amiee, a girl about twenty–five years old, very thin and tall with short hair, indeed giving off a cool vibe.

Emily continued, “She’s amazing, my senior from college. By the time I went to college, she was already a legend on campus. It’s said that a top hacker tried to break into our school’s computer system, but Amiee had already set up a security net. Not only did the hacker fail to penetrate, but he was also got exposed on the school website by her! Since then, Amiee has become a campus legend!”

Estelle turned to look at Amiee again, her fingers tapping rapidly on the keyboard, her profile cold and nonchalant.

Estelle asked, “She has graduated, right? How come instead of doing her major related job, she becomes your store manager?” 

Emily shrugged, “I’m not sure. She graduated two years ago and it seems that she has never been engaged in the computing industry. But, I heard her family is very wealthy.”
