Chapter 45

As he made his way to the table, a rarely seen expression of astonishment flickered across his typically impassive face upon spotting Estelle.

Rising from her seat. Estelle addressed him with politeness ‘Please, have a seat. I’ve ordered you an iced Americano.”

Millard took his place opposite her, his gaze fixed upon Estelle, his eyes filled with depth.

So that’s how it is!

Unbelievable!

Estelle chuckled lightly. “No need to be surprised, because what I’m going to say next might even surprise you

more.”

Half an hour later, Millard and Estelle left the café separately, one to the left and one to the right, as if they

were strangers.

It was impossible to tell that they had just reached a new agreement.

Still somewhat in disbelief, Millard couldn’t believe Estelle was Jonathan’s wife, let alone that he would agree to help her hide the truth.

In hindsight, he felt he had underestimated Estelle. Her innocent facade had fooled everyone.

She managed to not reveal anything in front of Jonathan and even convinced Millard to help her hide the truth, showing she was not simple at all. If she were a sniper hidden in the shadows, she would be deadly.

There was no need for the divorce procedure now. Millard wondered where he could go these days to keep it a

secret from Jonathan.

Fortunately, Jonathan had always trusted him.

On her way back to Villa del Sol, Estelle received a call from Magdalen, who was very excited, “Ella, are you home yet? I’ll pick you up in a bit and take you out to have some fun.”

Estelle replied flatly, “Not today, I need to pack up and get ready to move.”

“Move?” Magdalen asked curiously, “Why are you moving?”

Estelle scoffed, “This is all thanks to you. Why weren’t you there last night?”

“Where? What happened last night?” Magdalen was confused.

Wilma was surprised. “Is the three year agreement over? If the Lamont family didn’t say anything, you could still

stay here”

Estelle smiled, “There’s one month left, but I’m busy in studying, so I’ve rented a place closer to the campus

There was silence in the dining room Estelle’s departure was too sudden for both Wilma and Mr. Wagner

After a while, Mr. Wagner finally asked, “What about Max?“

Estelle replied, “Max belongs to Jonathan, so he should stay here.”

Mr. Wagner maintained a stoic silence, while a look of reluctance etched across Wilma’s face.

The three of them had been residing in this secluded villa for three years, forming a bond that had transforme them into a makeshift family.

Any one leaving would be difficult to let go of for the others.
