Amiee raised her eyebrows, her tone indifferent, “Wow, that’s really surprising! I thought the Capital University folks were all well–cultured, I guess there are exceptions after 

Josiah was furious, and if not for the fact that they were surrounded by people, he’d want to break the deal with this woman immediately!

Yvonne interjected, “Alright, that’s enough Josiah, can’t you just give in a little to Miss Jordan, she’s your girlfriend”

Josiah sneered.

Estelle winked at Amiee, hinting at her to not push too far

Around eleven o’clock, the gathering ended, and everyone said their goodbyes.

Jonathan called Estelle’s name naturally and offered her a ride home.

Estelle turned around to bid farewell to people like Amiee and Charlie, and as she looked back, she saw Yvonne looking at her with a disguised look of disdain. She ignored it and got in the car

Jonathan left first, and everyone else also went to their cars and left.

Earlier when they arrived at the gathering Josiah had accompanied Amiee, and when it was time to leave, Amiee drove as Josiah had drunk alcohol.

Josiah had an unhappy look on his face and stared at Amiee, “Are you and Estelle close friends?”

“Yeah!” Amiee replied expressionlessly, looking straight ahead

Josiah scoffed, “Well, we can’t be friends then, I don’t like Estelle – not in the slightest!”

Amiee glanced back at him, as if looking at an idiot

Josiah frowned, “What’s with that face?”

Josiah’s face was livid as he pushed the car door open, but before he could get out properly, the car drove off.

Amiee had driven away, leaving him behind

Josiah felt even angrier, cursing Amiee for not ever being able to get married!

Standing on the roadside, he planned to go home by taxi

At this hour, J City was still bustling with activity, but today was just his unluck, he’d been waiting for ten minutes and hadn’t seen a single empty cab pass by.

The late autumn nights were a bit chilly, and as a gust of wind blew past, Josiah shivered, not wanting to wait any longer. He took out his phone and called his driver to pick him up

His home was quite far from 9th Mansion, so even if the driver came, it would take at least half an hour.
