Chapter 555
Xavier paused, “Who’s your lady?”
The man said, “Ms. Sampson!”
Xavier still had no idea who that was.
Marcus got whacked on the head twice, bleeding down his face. He was escorted out by Maxwell and a few others, holding his head and pointing a threatening finger at Xavier, “You just wait!”
With that, he and his men ran off.
Zachary was enjoying himself, hitting Maxwell’s butt with a stick, making him stumble. “I’ll see what you are capable of, dickheads!” Maxwell held his butt, not daring to look back..
Xavier walked out of the store, and Magdalen and Morrison were coming from the other side. As they approached, Magdalen stared at Xavier and laughed, “Sniper?”
Xavier paused, then grinned, “Estelle’s friend?”
Magdalen nodded immediately, “Yeah, Estelle sent us!”
Seeing Magdalen’s excitement, Morrison’s eyebrows furrowed slightly, and he extended a hand to Xavier, “Nice to meet you, I’m Magdalen’s fiancé!”
He didn’t mention his own name, just that he was Magdalen’s fiancé.
Xavier was about to shake hands when he realized his hand was covered in someone else’s blood. He laughed heartily, “Sorry! Let me go wash my hands first. Please, come in!”
He turned to Damian and the others, “Quickly clean up the lobby, we’ve got guests!”
Zachary, Damian, and the others grinned and went inside.
The lobby was a mess, with overturned tables and chairs and broken coffee pots and bottles everywhere. Damian and the others cleared a table for Magdalen and Morrison to sit down.
Morrison looked at Xavier’s back and said, “Don’t you find him familiar?”
Magdalen frowned, deep in thought, “I didn’t until you mentioned it, but now that you have, I feel like I’ve seen him somewhere before!”
Morrison picked up a knife and wrote a character on the table. Magdalen’s eyes widened, and she suddenly realized, “It seems like it’s him, but it’s been so many years, and he’s changed a lot!”
Back then, he was a pale, delicate young man, but now he was tall, cold, and uninhibited, like a completely different person.
If Morrison hadn’t mentioned it, Magdalen would have only thought him familiar but wouldn’t have guessed it was him!
Magdalen frowned, “But wasn’t he supposed to be dead?”
Morrison chuckled softly, “Whether he is or not, wait until Estelle comes, and you can ask her to find out for sure!*
