Chapter 570

Estelle gave a slight smile: [Happy! But you’re praising me too much!]

Magdalen: [How is it too much? Which part doesn’t fit? You’re the best in my heart!]

[Actually, I didn’t want to provoke anyone from your studio, but just now, your so-called sister came over to try to please me. It was ridiculous! She’s been bullying you behind your back; now that I caught her in the act, I couldn’t let go the opportunity of embarrassing her!]

Estelle raised her eyebrows. [She knows you?]

[I met her at an auction before, but we didn’t even talk. I don’t know why she thinks we’re acquainted?]

Estelle guessed that Carmella knew Morrison was one of the investors of the movie, so she brought Alice to talk to Magdalen, trying to leave an impression.

While chatting with Magdalen, Inman turned to Estelle and said, “Ella, I see a friend over there, I’m going to say hi real quick!”

Estelle nodded, “Alright, go ahead!”

“Ill be right back!” Inman laughed and got up to walk toward her friend.

Estelle put her phone down, finished her drink, and took out her phone to play a game.

Yvonne stood next to Jonathan, elegantly speaking with the other investors of the movie. Her gaze shifted somewhere, her expression pausing momentarily before returning to normal

When the crowd thinned out a bit, Yvonne whispered, “Jonathan, I think I saw Estelle. Did you see her too?”

Jonathan nodded slightly. “Yes.”

Yvonne curiously asked, “What’s she doing here? Did she come with Ms. Sampson? Should we go say hi?”

“No need!” Jonathan’s face was calm, his eyes passing over Estelle sitting on the couch with a drink, an unnoticed tenderness flickering in his eyes.

Yvonne observed Jonathan’s expression, felt a bit relieved at his response, and gently nodded, “Alright, let’s not bother her then!”

As some people came to toast Jonathan, Yvonne backed away slightly. Her agent Riley approached and whispered, “The CEO of Venya Co. just spoke to me; they want you to be their brand ambassador. Are you interested? Should we discuss it further?”

Yvonne wasn’t too keen, “Their last brand ambassador was Gregory, who just had a scandal because of nationality. It’s not a good time for me to take over. Please find a reason to decline.”

“Alright!” Riley agreed, then suddenly remembered something and scoffed, “I just saw Hattie’s agent chatting with reporters, claiming Mr. Mayfield’s movie has two female leads and no distinction between leading and supporting actress. Ridiculous!”

Yvonne said calmly. “They’ll find out when the movie is released. No need to worry.”

Riley replied, “I recorded their conversation earlier. I’ll post it online when the movie is out so their fans can see!”

Yvonne took a sip of her drink, noncommittal.

She looked up and saw Jonathan glancing over somewhere. She followed his gaze towards Estelle, her face becoming slightly gloomy. She quickly turned her gaze and spotted Hattie talking with the assistant director. As she walked over, they noticed Yvonne and immediately became respectful, saying, “Ms. Yvonne!”

Yvonne gave a gracious nod, smiling at Hattie, “In the movie, we play sisters. We should chat more often and develop a rapport.” The assistant director immediately praised, “Ms. Yvonne, being the best actress winner, your attitude is truly inspiring and worth learning by everyone!”

Hattie awkwardly laughed as she listened to the praise.

The assistant director continued, “Hattie, you’re lucky to work with Ms. Yvonne so early in your career. It’s an opportunity others can only dream of. You’re still new, so learn as much as you can from her.”
