Simone freaked out, “Carmella, where are you? What happened? Don’t do anything stupid. Tell me where you are, and I’ll come find you right away!”

Carmella continued to cry on the phone, her voice filled with distress.

Simone’s heart ached, and she quickly asked, “Are you at work? I’m on my way. Carmella, please don’t do anything rash. I’ll support you and stand up for you. Just wait for me!”

Simone couldn’t bear to hang up the phone and hurriedly drove to Carmella’s location. Spotting Carmella crying on the side of the road, she rushed over and embraced her tightly. “Carmella!”

Carmella’s eyes were swollen and red from crying, and she clung to Simone, pouring out her anguish. “Mom, they’re all bullying me!”

Enraged, Simone questioned, “Who is bullying you? Your colleagues? go and talk to them!”

But as Carmella held onto Simone tightly, she pleaded, “Mom, please don’t go! I just want to go home, please!”

Understanding her daughter’s emotional state, Simone consoled her and helped her into the car. They decided to discuss the situation at home, providing comfort and support to Carmella in a familiar and safe environment.

Carmella cried the whole way home, not answering any of Simone’s questions, driving her crazy with anxiety and causing her to nearly get into an accident.

When they arrived home, Simone called Bennett, and they both tried to comfort Carmella.

Bennett saw that Carmella had cried herself pale and was distraught. “Carmella, tell us what happened. Whatever it is, your mom and I will stand up for you!”

“Yeah, tell us!” said Simone, full of anxiety.

Carmella lay on the couch, looking wronged. “I got fired from the studio!”

“What?” Simone widened her eyes. “Why did they fire you?”

Carmella sat up, crying and choking on her words. “Mr. Mayfield’s new movie is picking a designer from our studio. Estelle plagiarized my design but accused me of copying hers. Everyone sided with her, and they fired me!”

Bennett’s expression turned serious as he responded, “Let’s focus on resolving Carmella’s situation first. We can’t allow her to be unjustly fired. We need to have a conversation with Jason.”

Carmella shook her head while still sobbing. “It won’t help! Jason is clearly biased towards Estelle, and the other designers are afraid to go against him. Please, don’t go! It will only make things worse for me!”

Do we just let it go?” Simone gritted her teeth. “I can’t stand this kind of humiliation! It’s their honor to have Carmella work there, yet they dared to bully her like this. Don’t they have any respect for the Macclain family?”

Bennett suggested, “Why don’t we get Estelle to come over and ask her what really happened?”

Simone immediately replied, “Call her right now!”

Carmella hurriedly said, “No, don’t call her! They had a whole plan to frame me, they even made a fake video. Even if you bring her here, she’ll still say I copied her design!”

“Copy her?” Simone snorted. “You were Albert’s student and learned professional design. What about her? Saying you copied her is a huge joke!”

Bennett already called Estelle. Once the call connected, he said, “Estelle, come honie now! We’ll be waiting for you!”
