Isis and Estelle both attended J City Peak High School, but they weren’t in the same class Isis is quite the social butterfly and is part of numerous group chats from different classes.

She quickly screenshotted the chat and sent it to Estelle With one glance. Estelle noticed that her classmates were gossiping about her

First off, the class rep announced in the group chat that Estelle couldn’t attend the class reunion due to some stuff she had going on

A girl named Xaviana piped up. “I feel like Estelle isn’t that good in social situations. That’s probably why she’s skipping the reunion!”

Then someone else asked, ‘Does anyone know what’s up with Estelle recently? Spill the beans.”

Xaviana replied. “I heard she’s been waitressing at Midnight Bar”

Someone else exclaimed in surprise, “No way! She’s a student at the University of J City. If she’s gonna work part–time, she could do better than that!

Another person questioned, “You think she’s just a waitress at a place like that?”

Others joined in the chat, some even doubling. “Did Estelle really make it into the University of J City on her own? I still can’t believe it.”

As Estelle read their messages, she remembered Xaviana.

When she first started at Peak High School, her grades were terrible in the first few quizzes.

She hadn’t attended school for a day before she went to Peak High School so all her answers were pure guesses

Peak High School is a prestigious school in J City and her grades caused quite a stir

A guy offered to tutor her, and even after she refused, he’d lend her his notes

But she soon caught the eye of Xaviana, who had a crush on the guy

Xaviana and some other girls cornered Estelle on the way home from school,

and then Estelle sent all of them to the hospital

The incident made waves at school again because she had beaten people up.

She had just returned to the Macclain family then, and Simone was quite nice to her However, after the fight, Simone thought she was a no–good and poor hooligan.

Just as Estelle logged off WhatsApp, she got a call from Janice

Janice called to invite her to dinner that night.

Estelle said, “Janice, you’ve already done so much for me.” 

“Don’t worry about it. Henson’s father and I wanted to have a private dinner with you. Jonathan is free too, he’ll be there tonight,” Janice chuckled

Jonathan will be there too?

He didn’t tell me!

Due to Janice’s insistence, Estelle couldn’t refuse and agreed

– Less than ten minutes later, Jonathan called her, saying, “Did Janice call you? I’ll pick you up around five.” 

Estelle frowned, saying, “Why didn’t you tell me ahead of time?”

“We’re just having a family dinner, is there anything you need to prepare? Jonathan replied with a grin

His comment left Estelle speechless, and she could only laugh and reply. “I’ll wait for you”
