Jonathan shot her a cold glance and walked away. He had a meeting in the afternoon, but he was in no mood for it now. He called Chuck to handle the meeting details, then drove off to the Movie Center.

It was already three in the afternoon. The barbecue place was empty of customers, and Norah was playing mobile games with Damian and the others. Hearing someone walk in, Norah looked up and smiled, “Welcome.”

Before she could finish, her smile faded and she immediately stood up, “Jonathan!”

Damian and the others also stood up. They had met Jonathan before, but back then he was friendly and polite, even doing them a big favor. But the man now exuded a cold and oppressive aura.

“What brings you here?” Norah asked cautiously, fearing her uncle more than her own parents.

Jonathan replied with a blank expression, “If I didn’t come, how long were you planning to keep messing around?”

Norah was stunned, then she pulled out a chair for Jonathan, “Sit down, let me explain!”

Jonathan sat down and calmly said, “No need to explain anything, just bring Xavier to me!”

Norah quickly said, “It’s not Mr. Flemmings‘ fault, if you have any questions, just ask me!”

Jonathan looked at her calmly, “Don’t make me repeat myself, go now!”

Norah didn’t dare to defy Jonathan’s words. Seeing the worried expressions of Damian and the others, she frowned and headed upstairs.

Xavier’s injury on his back wasn’t fully healed, but he could walk downstairs. Hearing that Norah’s uncle wanted to see him, he immediately understood Jonathan’s intention and put on a shirt to go downstairs.

Xavier paused, seeming to understand Jonathan’s meaning, and explained, “Estelle just didn’t want to worry you, so she didn’t tell you.”

“Really?” Jonathan sneered.

“What are you doubting?” Xavier asked sharply.

“You’re not telling me anything, aren’t you deliberately making me suspicious?”

Xavier chuckled, “There’s no need to get angry, and I won’t reveal any information. All I can tell you is that Estelle’s past has nothing to do with her present, she’s with you because she truly likes you, no other motives.”

“Motive?” Jonathan sneered, “I’ve heard that word plenty of times already!”
