Estelle’s gaze was cold, “Who’s Ken?”,

“Over there!” The man pointed, craning his neck.

Following the man’s direction, Magdalen spotted a group of men in the VIP section. A man in his thirties, with greyish white hair and a wicked grin, sat in the middle. Seeing their gaze, he lifted his glass in a toast.

Magdalen scoffed, “Just because he invited us, we should go? Who does he think he is?”

The man’s face hardened, his tone threatening, “Ken doesn’t often invite people for a drink. Don’t be a fool!”

Mr. Waldo frowned, “Mind your manners. If the ladies don’t want to go, are you planning to force them? This is a society of law!”

The man shot Mr. Waldo a cold, ruthless glance, “Mind your own business!”

Mr. Waldo stood up, positioning himself protective in front of Magdalen and Estelle, “I’ll make it my business today. If the ladies don’t want to go, no one will trouble them!”

Estelle and Magdalen exchanged glances, raising their eyebrows slightly. This Mr. Waldo was surprisingly gallant!
