Chapter 93
“No, I don’t want to break up!” Noreen was in tears. The man who had just been so gentle turned cold–hearted in a blink and brought up breaking up. She couldn’t accept this change and begged, “Charlie, I love you, I really do. Give me another chance, please. I will listen to you!”
Charlie sneered, “Do you love me or my money?”
Noreen replied instantly. “Of course, I love you!”
Charlie’s voice was cold, “If you don’t like money, why did you accept the emerald from Baber? No more lame excuses, don’t say you took that itbecause that was
pretty.”
Noreen’s face was full of regret, “I won’t do it again, Charlie, I swear I won’t.”
Charlie was getting impatient, “Leave us some good memories, please. Don’t make me hate you. And stop using my name to do things outside, or else you know the consequences.”
As he finished, he turned and walked away
Noreen rushed towards him, but stumbled and fell. She watched as Charlie left without looking back, and burst into tears, “Charlie, forgive me, I really know I was wrong!”
When Emily returned, she ran into Charlie and was surprised to see him leaving. She asked, “Are you leaving?”
Charlie smiled faintly. “Do you need anything?”
“Isn’t Noreen your girlfriend?” Emily handed him the water bottle, “You take care of her, I have things to do this afternoon.”
Charlie politely explained, “Apologies, but she’s not anymore.”
After that, he continued walking away.
Emily was puzzled by his words, and Charlie had already left before she was able to retrieve the bottle.
She looked with confusion at Charlie’s retreating figure and turned to enter the ward
The moment she opened the door and entered, she saw Noreen crying on the floor, “Charlie, I’m really sorry, please don’t break up with me!”
It is not rare to have a good face these days, what’s rare is the good heart of a man!
However, Noreen probably deserved it. All is fair in love and war. What should Emily, an outsider, be angry about?
But just as she was about to leave the hospital, she received a phone call from Noreen, “Emily. You come back right now!”
Emily coldly replied, “For what? To be your punching bag? If you have the guts, go find that scumbag! If you don’t, go hide under your blankets and cry alone What’s the point of venting on me?”
Noreen snapped. “Are you out of your mind? Don’t talk to me like that!”
Tve been meaning to say thus for a long time. You were obviously fine, but you insisted on pretending to be sick and staying in the hospital. My mom has been taking care of you like a servant She’s your aunt! Who the hell are you to order her around like that? Do you really think I would like to look at your ugly face if it weren’t for my mom? Emily blurted out everything that had been kept inside of her
Noreen felt like she was going to explode with anger, ‘It was your poor ass family that wanted to kiss up to us! You volunteered to take care of me. You’re doing it because you want to, and I’m letting you guys serve me because I’m being nice”
