Estelle, holding her ice cream, pleaded with Manley, “Get her away, quick 

Manley, helpless, shook his head and went over and hug Kya, “No need to eat hers. Ms. Simmons baked some cookies for you, let’s go eat cookies. 

Kya turned her head, still eyeing Estelle’s ice cream. Her big eyes blinked, and tears started to well up, just about to cry. 

Manley quickly took out other stuff to distract her, then gave Estelle a glare, “You can’t eat anymore, don’t you know you can’t eat cold stuff? You’re more of a pain than Kya 

Estelle sat cross-legged, murmuring under her breath, “Who bothers you? Mind your own business 

Manley was so annoyed he felt like throwing water at her from the table. 

Estelle didn’t dare to push too far either. She ate half of the ice cream and put the rest in the fridge 

Just as she came out of the kitchen, someone came in. She peeked, and sure enough. Emily was back! 

“Mommy 

Kya in the living room called out immediately and ran over with tiny steps. 

Emily bent down to pick up Kya, her smile bright, dimples playing hide and seek. She looked up at Estelle and Manley. Thanks for your help!? 

“It doesn’t matter, just consider it practice Manley said, with a gleam in his eye, looking at Estelle 

Estelle ignored him, asking Emily, “Is your Mom doing better?” 

“Yeah, she’s stable now but she needs to stay in the hospital for a while longer” Emily replied 

Manley hugged Kya over, “go, go play with Manley, let Mommy and Estelle talk.“ 

Kya was obedient, and went with him to play with the toy train in the living room 

Estelle poured a glass of water for Emily. “Are you going to the hospital this afternoon? If you are, I can ask Ms. Simmons to make some food for you to bring to your 

mom 

“My brother’s off work today. He’s staying with Mom in the hospital, I’ll go over tomorrow. Emily said with a gentle smile. Really, thank you and Marley to much. Otherwise I would’ve been really overwhelmed” She was supposed to come back to attend her brother’s wedding, but her mother suddenly fell ill due to overwork, and the condition 

was rather sectious. 

Her brother had to work and prepare for the wedding so it fell on Emily to take care of their mother. 

Thank God. Estelle was there to help with Kya, so she could stay in the hospital with peace of mind. 

“Don’t worry about it, Kya and I have a blast together. Just focus on taking care of your mom!” Estelle said, smiling. 

“Um!” 

Emily smiled at

After lunch, Emily coaxed Ky to take a nap, and Estelle went back to her home.
