Chapter 987

Gwen frowned, “Clarice, enough already!”

Clarice whipped around to glare at Alice, “Did I ever treat you badly? Why are you throwing me under the bus?”

Alice just hung her head and sobbed, “I was just confused and listened to you.”

Clarice lunged at her, wanting to slap her, but got held back. She pointed at Alice and snapped, “I won’t let you get away with this!”

“Clarice!” Gwen grabbed her hand, whispering, “Chill, Mr. Kress hasn’t decided what to do with you yet. If you keep acting up, he’ll definitely fire you on the spot!”

Gwen turned to Jonathan, “Jonathan, after we fire Alice, this matter is over, right? It must be Alice who has been stirring the pot!”

Clarice clenched her teeth, as if she had a lot to say, but ended up saying nothing.

Jonathan said casually, “I’m just suggesting a solution; the final call is up to the crew. I have no comment. But,” he paused, looking at the glittering diamonds in the bushes, and said with a smile, “All these diamonds in the bushes, what a waste. Who just suggested that Estelle should pick them up one by one?”

Mr. Kress quickly said, “It was Clarice.”

“Then whoever suggested it should do it. Don’t waste these diamonds!” Jonathan said

nonchalantly.

Mr. Kress ordered Clarice, “You and Alice pick up the diamonds.”

Alice obediently squatted down to pick up the diamonds, Clarice was reluctant, but she was afraid of really upsetting Jonathan, and even Manuel couldn’t help her then, so she went over unwillingly.

Jonathan suddenly laughed, “Shouldn’t Mr. Kress apologize to the person who was wronged, then join in picking up the diamonds?”

Mr. Kress was taken aback, then quickly said, “Mr. Lamont is right!”

Gwen flashed a sweet smile at Jonathan, “It’s too hot here, let’s go to my room for a while. I can show you the scenes I shot these days.”

“Sure!” Jonathan got up and walked towards the villa with Gwen.

Craig frowned at their retreating figures, and turned to follow Estelle.

The rest, having had their fill of the drama, didn’t dare to stick around and quickly left too.

The afternoon sun was at its peak, and it was not easy to pick up the diamonds from the cracks in the bricks and the bushes. Clarice and Mr. Kress spent an hour to pick up all the diamonds.

Mr. Kress’s face was sunburned, and the back of his T-shirt was soaked with sweat. He gritted his teeth and said fiercely, “This isn’t over!”
