Mariela looked at him warily, “What are you here for?” 

Jaime’s eyes sparkled with, excitement as he stared at Mariela.“I heard your engagement ceremony was canceled?”

Jaime blocked Mariela’s way and said, “Mariela, do you believe in fate? The fact that your engagement ceremony was ruined indicates that the heavens do not approve of your union.”
