Mariela looked at him warily, “What are you here for?” 

Jaime’s eyes sparkled with, excitement as he stared at Mariela.“I heard your engagement ceremony was canceled?” 

Mariela said angrily, “What’s it to you? Move aside!” 

Jaime blocked Mariela’s way and said, “Mariela, do you believe in fate? The fact that your engagement ceremony was ruined indicates that the heavens do not approve of your union.” 

“Huh,” Mariela said with a cold expression, “It’s already the 21st century, and yet your feudal superstitious thoughts haven’t been eradicated?” Jaime was not upset either, he was happier than anyone else when the engagement ceremony was canceled. 

Not to mention, Lennon was also stabbed and nearly died. 

Even the heavens were helping him! 

A smile appeared in his eyes, “Mariela, you know who the killer is, right? She was a fanatic admirer of Lennon, pursued him for ten years. Many people saw her at the engagement party that day, and now this matter has spread all over New York.”

Mariela tried to pretend that she didn’t care, puffed her cheeks and said, “No way, I haven’t heard you mention it before, just asking.” Thinking about the woman who kidnapped Angelica and even wanted to stab her, Mariela became even more angry on top of being jealous.“Where did you encounter such a rotten peach blossom? Why are you so crazy?” 

Lennon waved at Mariela and said, “Marie, come here.”
