Mariela looked at the caller ID. 

It was Gia. 

She answered the phone. 

“Ms. Logan, can you come over? I need your help. 

Mariela steadied herself. What’s wrong?” 

Gia quickly explained the issue. 

Mariela frowned, showing worry.“Wait, I’ll be there soon.” 

After ending the call, Mariela grabbed her bag.“I need to go take care of something. Let’s catch up another time.” 

Fiona curled her lip skeptically.“Is it something important? You’re not just faking a call to avoid our questions, are you?” 

Mariela sighed deeply and held up her phone, displaying the call log to Fiona. “I’m telling the truth, there really is something I need to deal with. 

Fiona crossed her arms firmly. Fine, next time I’ll grill you, and you better be honest!” 

“Okay.” 

Mariela left quickly after saying that. 

Fiona moved closer to Caylee.“Caylee, what do you think sex feels like?” 

Caylee blushed and stuttered,“I… I don’t know… I’ve never been in a relationship…” 

“Right.” Fiona patted Caylee’s shoulder with a serious expression.“Don’t fall in love. Those guys aren’t good enough for you.” 

She remembered her own regrettable first love. 

Fiona had dated once, in her freshman year. 

The guy was a senior, handsome, and popular. 

Fiona was beautiful and rich, with many admirers, but she liked that senior. 

He had asked her out first. 

When they started dating, they were always together, showing affection in front of Caylee and Mariela. 

Couples who showed off their love a lot usually ended up breaking up, and it looked like that was right.
