Mariela’s room overlooked the garden downstairs from the window.

Mariela curled up in bed, silently crying while holding onto her blanket. 

It had been over an hour since she hung up the phone, and her tears hadn’t stopped.

She didn’t believe that the reason why Lennon wanted to break up was because he hadn’t had enough fun. 

He was not that kind of person.

He didn’t want Nikolas to hurt her, so he was eager to distance himself from her. 

But those words hurt. She couldn’t remain indifferent. 

She didn’t want to cry either, but the tears just couldn’t be controlled. 

In winter, the days got dark early, and by around six o’clock in the afternoon, it was already dusk. 

The sound of knocking came over. And Sonia stood outside the door and called softly, “Ms. Logan, dinner is ready.”

Sonia was a little worried and asked her, “Do you need me to contact Mr. Stark?”
