After seeing Bryce’s post, Mariela casually liked it and moved on. 

When Carsen came across this Instagram post, Carsen took a screenshot of it along with Mariela’s like and sent the screenshot to Lennon. 

“What the hell?” 

“It looks like a photo prepared for the marriage certificate. I have to say, they make a good couple.” 

Seeing the message from Carsen, Lennon was hurt. 

Lennon was hurt by the bright smile of the girl in the photo. 

He gazed at the photo in silence for a long time. 

Then, Lennon made a phone call. 

“How was Nikolas doing?” 

In the evening, Mariela returned home and took a shower. When she was ready to watch a TV series on her pad, she received a phone call. 

“Excuse me, here is a delivery for you.Is it convenient to sign for it now?” 

“Yes, but I didn’t buy anything myself. May I ask which courier it is?”

The sender’s address was written with the name of a high–end jewelry store in New York. 

Mariela took the package into the house and dialed the sender’s phone number on the delivery slip. 

It was after 8 p.m., and that jewelry store was still open. 

The shop assistant quickly answered the phone and delivered a scripted opening statement. 

Mariela politely asked, “Hello, I just received a package from your store. I would like to know what is inside, and who bought it.” 

The shop assistant replied, “May I ask for your mobile phone number so that I can help you check?” 

Mariela gave out her phone number. 

The shop assistant said, “Okay, please wait a moment. Let me check for you.” 

Soon, a reply came from the shop assistant. 

“Is that Ms. Logan?” 

“Yes.” 

“Ms. Logan, I found out that this package contains a necklace selected by a gentleman in our store for you this afternoon. That gentleman left your address and phone number, and specifically instructed us to make it delivered to you within today.”
