It was quite a coincidence. Some time ago, when Nikolas took his kept woman to a jewelry store to buy accessories, he happened to hit it off with one of the sales associates. 

Having been with countless women, Nikolas was a playboy through and through. Whenever he saw a beautiful woman who piqued his interest, he would think about getting her into bed. 

That day, he spent over 320 thousand dollars on a necklace for his kept woman, pleasing her while also showing off his wealth to the store employees. 

When the woman went to the restroom, Nikolas took the opportunity to ask the sales associate for her contact information. 

That very night, they ended up in bed together. 

On Valentine’s Day, Nikolas called the sales associate out again.

Nikolas scoffed, leaning against the headboard as he leisurely smoked a post–sex cigarette, exhaling the smoke. 

Feeling satisfied, he was in a good mood and did not get angry at the woman’s comment. Instead, he chuckled and patiently said, “There’s over 150 thousand dollars in that card. Buy whatever you want. Money is all that matters. You still expect love?” 

The woman crawled over and rested her head on his chest, her voice soft and sweet.“I was just saying.” 

Nikolas flicked off some ash from his cigarette, his expression indifferent.“Don’t ever mention love in front of me.” 

“I understand.” 

Nikolas did not think much of it at the time.
