In the room, apart from Bryce, there was an elderly couple and a middle–aged man dressed in a suit with a refined demeanor. 

“Hello, Ms. Logan. My name is Ramon Herman, Annika’s father. Thank you very much for helping us find Annika,” the middle–aged man stood up and greeted her. 

Mariela understood. 

He was actually Elsa’s husband, Annika’s father, and Bryce’s uncle. 

Mariela politely replied, “Hello, Mr. Herman.” 

After Ramon finished speaking, the elderly woman said gratefully, “Ms. Logan, I am really thankful for what you have done. If it weren’t for you, my Annika might have been kidnapped by human traffickers.” 

Judging by her age, she should be Bryce’s grandmother. 

Mariela said, “Sir, you are being too polite. It’s not a big deal.” 

“Ms. Logan, please have a seat,” Bryce’s grandfather said with a smile. 

“Okay,” Mariela pulled out a chair and sat down. 

The table in the private room was very big, with seating for ten people. 

Including Annika, there were a total of seven people in the private room. 

There were still three vacant seats remaining. 

Marie sat with empty seats on both sides.

gave Bryce a signal with her eyes, indicating him to move and sit next to Mariela. 

Bryce shook his head with some helplessness. 

Mariela noticed the strange atmosphere between them and slightly tilted her head, asking, “What’s wrong, Mr. Vance?” 

They were accustomed to calling each other by their last names.
