Viper and Jax were terified. 

Someone who could easily give over 150 thousand dollars was not to be messed with 

They believed his threats. 

Soon after the masked man left, Lennon’s assistant. Thomas, arrived.

“What’s going on? Is there something else. Viper thought it was the same man and spoke without thinking. He stopped when he realized it was a different person. 

“What?” Thomas’s gaze was cold. “Was someone here just now?” 

“No” Viper looked at Thomas “Who are you? Are you looking for me?” 

Thomas asked, “Why did you harass Ms. Logan tonight?” 

Viper said, “She’s pretty, and we both liked her.” 

Jax agreed, “Yes, she’s pretty.” 

Thomas glared. “If you utter another filthy word, I’ll cut out your tongues!” 

As he spoke, two bodyguards in black suits appeared behind him 

Viper and Jax were scared. 

What was happening? 

They realized they had messed with the wrong person. 

Thomas asked. “Tell the truth, and think before you speak.” 

Remembering the masked man’s threats, Viper and Jax didn’t dare say anything. 

If they talked, they’d lose the money and their lives. 

They stuck to their story that they acted on impulse while drank.. 

Seeing no more information was coming, Thomas left with the bodyguards. 

The next day, soon after Mariela woke up, she got a call from the police. They said her intentional harm case was dropped. 

Mariela wasn’t surprised. 

She was aware that Lennon had taken care of it..

But she didn’t see the need to object since Lennon had intervened. 

Mariela called Lennon to thank him politely. 

Lennon’s voice carried a note of displeasure, “Marie, don’t thank me. I don’t ever want to hear ‘thank you from you again” 

Standing by the bedroom window, holding her phone, Mariela said, “Okay, I get it.”
