Mariela watched, shocked

Why had Snowphie lost control? 

Everything happened so 

in just quickly, in 

seconds, giving Mariela 

no chance to 

grah the horse’s 

reins. 

Mariela’s mind went blank. 

When she regained her senses, she called the equestrian club’s emergency rescue number. 

Lauryn, carried a short distance by the horse, fell onto the grass and rolled away. 

The horse kept running wildly.

rescue team arrived swiftly and put Lauryn on a stretcher. 

Lennon and others followed the team, hurrying to see what happened. 

Seeing Lauryn injured, Lennon frowned and looked at Mariela seriously. 

Mariela looked back, her eyes full of confusion,

Caylee and Fiona hurried too.

Mariela, confused, said, “I don’t know. Lauryn asked me to teach her horseback riding. Everything was fine, but Snowphie went crazy and threw Lauryn off. She’s badly hurt.” 

Caylee frowned. “Snowphie gets checked monthly. We checked her today. Everything was fine. Why did she go crazy?” 

Fiona clenched her fists, “Could Lauryn have caused this! She wanted Lenny to teach her, not you. She never liked you.”
