Henrik stayed silent for a moment. Sure, he could easily take care of Liam Peyton himself, but Cecelia deserved to know about all this. If two people just vanished into thin air, Cecelia would figure it out sooner or later.

To Henrik, a strong relationship needed trust and respect. He couldn't just hide behind the notion of doing what's best for Cecelia and make decisions without her input. That kind of thing could easily drive a wedge between them. She had every right to have a say in this matter.

"Get Cecelia for me," Henrik instructed.

"On it," the assistant replied, stepping out and soon returning with Cecelia.

"Mr. Raul, you wanted to see me?" Cecelia asked, her eyes curious.

"Yes." Henrik nodded, signaling for the assistant to leave. Once they were alone, he said, "It's about your foster parents."

The sparkle in Cecelia's eyes vanished instantly.

Henrik laid it all out for her, his gaze steady and his voice soft but convincing. "I've thought it through, and you deserve to know. Cecelia, I realize you're not fond of me, but I'm here for you, always. Whatever you decide, I'm with you."
