"Not today, thanks," Flora said with a shake of her head.

"How about we check in on the experiment?" Kruiz suggested with a hint of persuasion in his voice. "The first results are already out, and they're being processed now."

"Sure thing." Flora agreed, standing up while still clutching her iced coffee. "Let's go."

Selene had just reached the door and peeked through the glass. Seeing Kruiz's attentive demeanor towards Flora made her sigh inwardly—Flora was indeed lucky.

Getting into Kruiz's lab was no walk in the park. And Kruiz himself was someone everyone wanted to be on good terms with. Sticking with Flora definitely had its perks. Without Flora's help, it could've taken Selene years to even get a foot in the door.

Feeling the sweet taste of success without the struggle, Selene happily headed back to the square. Unfortunately, she ran into someone she really didn't want to see.

Jenna swung a kick at her, but Selene swiftly dodged aside, her eyes cold and steady on Jenna.

Jenna was boiling with anger, glaring at Selene. "Who do you think you are, standing up to me like that?"

"Do you even know who I am?"

If she wasn't on the hunt for Flora, someone like Selene wouldn't even register on her radar.

Jenna's kick, not fully pulled back, caused her to sprain her ankle, and the pain only fueled her fury. She whipped out her pistol, aiming it right at Selene's forehead. "One word from me and you're done for."

Ronald commanded Jenna to put the gun down. In his class, pointing a gun at a fellow student was a big no-no.
