Flora was in deep trouble this time. Odds were, she'd never make it out alive. Without Flora, Club 257 would lose a major ally. The day Flora's death was announced would be the day they'd strike.

"Yes," Mr. Atticus's eyes shimmered with excitement. The moment he'd been waiting for had finally arrived. Not only could they dismantle Club 257, but that pesky Flora would be gone too!

The explosion went on for nearly an hour, reducing much of the medical facility to rubble. Many were trapped beneath the debris. The rescue team was all hands on deck, but they couldn't keep up. Overhead, a dozen helicopters circled, the fire mostly extinguished, as search and rescue efforts continued.

Mike was pacing back and forth, worry etched on his face. Mr. Connor had assured him the bomb was defused, so why the explosion? Clearly, it wasn't just a simple bomb. He hoped Ms. Flora and Mr. Connor were safe!

Suddenly, a scream pierced the air! Mike turned to see a rescuer's protective suit being eaten away by a mysterious black gas!

"What on earth is happening!" Mike's face turned white.

"It's toxic gas!" a team member shouted. "There's toxic gas in the forest, and it's seriously potent!"

Even their top-grade protective suits were no match for the gas. "Director, I'm afraid Ms. Flora and Mr. Connor might be in grave danger…" the team member hesitated.

If their suits couldn't handle the toxic gas, Flora and Connor, who weren't wearing any protective gear, could be in even more peril from the poison than the explosion!

"Grave danger or not, we have to find them!" Mike said through clenched teeth. Besides Flora and Connor, there were new recruits and five veterans still in the forest! They had to be found!

"But we're short on manpower!" the team member was sweating bullets. "And—"

Before he finished, the sound of helicopters roared above. A fleet of them landed in perfect formation!

"And folks from Empire Base!"

With their global reputations, why would Club 257 and Empire Base show up here?

As the doors swung open, Crimson, Kruz, and Adrian dashed out, almost in a frenzy!

They'd heard Flora and Connor were in trouble and had rushed over immediately!

"Hey, what's the situation? Is Flora still in there?" Crimson hurried over to Mike, her voice urgent.
