The first person up for evaluation was a young lad. As he walked in, you could see his knees shaking; he was clearly nervous and on edge. It's understandable, really, standing there in front of a dozen senior bigwigs.

"Bring your formula here," Corbyn instructed.

The boy, trembling, shuffled forward and handed over his formula with both hands. When Corbyn took it, the boy felt the weight ease from his hands, prompting him to glance up. That's when he noticed Flora sitting right next to Corbyn.

Talk about unexpected. The boy was taken aback. Among a sea of older men, there she was—a girl, and a strikingly attractive one at that. He almost thought he’d wandered into the wrong room.

Who was this girl to be beside Corbyn, acting as a chief examiner at such a young age?

Corbyn skimmed through the boy's formula, deemed it decent, and passed it around for the others to review. The senior executives nodded in agreement—not too shabby, but there's definitely room to grow.

"Explain your thought process behind this formula," Corbyn asked.

"Yes, sir," the boy replied.

Initially, he was jittery, but once he got going on his area of expertise, he spoke with confidence and clarity. Corbyn nodded in approval and gestured for him to step outside.

Scott, holding the formula, gave Flora a sideways glance with a smirk, "So, Lily, right?"

Flora slightly turned her head, meeting his gaze with her usual cool demeanor.

"Corbyn's been singing your praises, making you a chief examiner. I'm curious if you can live up to the hype." He handed the formula to her, "Can you make sense of this? What would you say are its pros and cons?"

Flora didn’t even reach for it. She gave him a brief look before turning away, clearly uninterested.

Expecting her to jump just because he asked?

"What’s this attitude, young lady?" Scott barked, his ego bruised by her indifference.

Scott snapped back to reality, "No, come back!"

The candidate, about to close the door, hurried back in.

"You! Get out!" Scott directed this time at Flora, but the candidate was clueless.

His foot just crossed the threshold, and now, almost in tears, he said, "Oh, I’ll leave..."

"Come back!"

The poor candidate was on the verge of tears. So, should he go or stay?

Scott, equally flustered, grabbed his head in frustration, stomped his feet, and finally plopped down in his chair.
