The little girl huddled back in fear, her wide, glistening eyes staring up at Flora with a mix of innocence and trepidation.

Flora didn’t let her guard down, her gaze hardening as she kept a firm grip on the girl's hand.

"Who are you, really?"

Jason had stationed a heavy guard detail around the room; there were at least twenty bodyguards outside. So, how did this little girl manage to slip in? It was baffling.

"Please, don’t hurt me! Don’t throw me into the sea! I’m sorry, I won’t sneak any more treats, I promise..."

The girl, clearly terrified by Flora’s icy tone, burst into loud sobs, wrenching her hand free from Flora’s grip.

Flora, now nursing her tingling hand, was shocked.

This kid was surprisingly strong!

Flora prided herself on her own physical strength, but this girl’s power was astonishing! And she was only five years old!

Everything about this little girl was strange.

But the girl had no clue what Flora was thinking; she just kept crying, convinced that Flora was a terrifying figure who had beaten up so many people and had them thrown into the sea. She didn’t want to suffer the same fate.

"Ms. Flora, what’s going on in here?"

Colton and Lance, who had been standing guard outside, burst into the room upon hearing the commotion.

They were stunned to see a little girl sitting on the floor, kicking her legs and crying her heart out.

What on earth was happening?

"Stop crying."

Flora, feeling a mix of annoyance and a softening heart, realized she might have been too harsh. After all, the girl was just a child.

Seeing her still crying, Flora adopted a stern tone: "If you keep crying, I really will throw you into the sea!"

The girl immediately stopped, her sobs turning silent as she looked up at Flora cautiously.

Her big, round eyes seemed to say, look, I’ve stopped crying, please don’t throw me into the ocean.

Back home, even dozens of bodyguards couldn’t keep track of her!

"Ms. Flora, this girl’s appearance here is really strange. Maybe I should take her upstairs for a proper interrogation?"

Colton’s brow was furrowed; he wasn’t about to let his guard down just because Nina was young and seemed harmless.

On the contrary, the more he looked at her, the stranger Nina seemed.

A five-year-old with such guts, how did she get in? Was there a secret passage in this room?

"No, no! I’ll have my dad pay you back for the cookies, please, I won’t steal food again..."

Nina’s face turned pale with fear upon hearing Colton’s suggestion of an interrogation.

Her dad often interrogated people too!

And everyone who got interrogated always came out covered in blood—so terrifying!

Nina was very afraid of Flora, but even more afraid of Colton. Though she was young and naive, she could sense that while Flora was just being stern, Colton was serious about taking her away and possibly throwing her into the sea!
