"Flora, put down your backpack. We're about to start the meeting," Dr. Ray instructed, not catching onto Alexa's odd behavior.

Flora's eyes flicked over to Alexa for a brief moment before she casually nodded, walked to her seat, set her backpack down, and pulled out her notebook.

Dr. Ray was gearing up to discuss the robotic medical experiment project. With Flora's two-million-dollar investment, plus the extra funds he had secured from other investors, the project was back on track.

"There's a big push right now for AI surgeries, using robots instead of humans for operations. I've been involved in some of these efforts..." Dr. Ray spoke with authority, while the senior and junior colleagues listened attentively. Alexa, on the other hand, was lost in her thoughts, unable to concentrate.

Seeing this, Dr. Ray's expression grew even more displeased. "You still have a lot to learn in the lab, and given that your talent isn't exceptional, you need to study even harder. If you're just here to waste time, you can leave now, especially since you have Mr. Otto backing you."

Flora nodded and quickly went upstairs in her slippers.
